From 29th till 30th of March 2007 we participated in the “Women between migration and reconciliation” seminar in Naples. The seminar was organized within the framework of the transnational Partnership with the Italian organization DIMMI.

Our national partnership was represented by: Joanna Kozłowska, Danuta Duch (Women’s Right Center), Katarzyna Cupryś (Association of Employers of Warsaw and Mazowsze Region) and Rafał Podlewski (CTC Poland).

During our two-day stay in Naples we visited various institutions and NGOs like the Intercultural Center for Children in Marano district in Naples, the Honorary Consulate of Poland in Naples and “La Gatta” (“Cat Women”), an association fighting against traffic of women. Moreover, we participated in a conference designed to underline the needs of and individual plans for women victims of domestic violence in Italy. The conference was organized by the Dedalus and Eva foundations and the municipality of Marano district. During the seminar, our representative – Danuta Duch presented the report prepared in the framework of the “Women between migration and reconciliation” partnership, which dealt with the relationship between domestic violence and the willingness of the victims to emigrate.

The steering committee meeting also took place during our visit in Naples.
